Sara Ramirez Hints Grey’s Anatomy Return

Grey’s Anatomy

“Grey’s Anatomy” star Sara Ramirez has teased a possible comeback for her character, Dr. Callie Torres in the longest-running medical drama.

Ramirez played as an LGBTQ+ character in the soap for 11 years and they revealed they will immediately grab the opportunity to return to the soap if “the stars align in a way that makes it make sense.”

As documented by Glamour, the “And Just Like That” star expressed their love for “Grey’s” family, especially since the show is welcoming more transgender and nonbinary characters.

“I’m so proud of them … It’s a beautiful universe that they’ve created over there, and I’m so grateful that I got to be part of it.”

When asked about how their character’s whereabouts would be if they’re still in the series, they stated that Dr. Callie Torres is a surgeon in a hospital somewhere in New York. Ramirez revealed they’re excited and curious about her character’s storyline just as the fans are.

Ellen Pompeo Believes That ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Must Come To An End

But it would be impossible for Ramirez to return to Grey’s Sloan Memorial Hospital if the medical drama reaches its end. The show creator Ellen Pompeo who plays the series’ leading lady Meredith Grey is ready to wave goodbye to her character, and she’s been trying to convince everybody it’s time for the curtains to close.

Ellen Pompeo recently told Insider about her willingness to end the medical drama. “I feel like I’m the super naïve one who keeps saying, ‘But what’s the story going to be, what story are we going to tell?”

The 52-year-old actress revealed that it’s the money that holds the show to stay much longer on television, which has been on screen for over two decades. She also mentioned that nobody cares to end the show, for “it makes a gazillion dollars.”

Ellen Pompeo – An End To The Show

As documented by Nischelle Turner of ET during her interview with the show creator in September, Pompeo shared her desire in ending the show, saying that she has been trying to get away for years but her strong partnership with the network made her hold on.

“I have strong relationships at the network and they have been very, very good to me, and have incentivized me to stay.”

“Miraculously, we keep coming up with ways to have a reason to stay and if there’s a reason, that warrants it,” she added.

With original cast members returning to the drama, is it enough reason for “Grey’s Anatomy” to move forward with one more season? Keep checking back here for more Grey’s Anatomy spoilers and news.
