Jason George was a recurring character on Grey’s Anatomy as Ben Warren in seasons 6 to 14 when he sidestepped over to Station 19 to become a firefighter. Now that show has ended there is a chance that Ben could return to Grey Sloan Memorial. George spoke to Jaina Lee Ortiz’s Andy about his character retiring from firefighting and returning as a doctor.
Jason George could return to Grey’s Anatomy after Station 19 finale
Station 19 was a Grey’s Anatomy spinoff that ran for seven seasons on ABC but has now sadly come to an end. Meanwhile, Grey’s returns this fall for season 21 with several doctors leaving the hospital. Does this mean Ben Warren could return to his calling as a doctor at Grey Sloan.
Deadline reports that so far no deal is available and it is unclear which role George could play. However, apparently “talks are ongoing.” The actor originally joined the popular medical drama in season 6 as an anesthesiologist before his character changed over to a surgical residency.
Meanwhile, his character was promoted from recurring to series regular in season 12. However, Ben made another career move, deciding to become a firefighter, which led to his starring in Station 19. That show attracted many fans, while thanks to crossovers, George made several appearances in Grey’s Anatomy. Now the table turns and his character has chosen to complete his surgical residency. This could mean fans will again see him in Grey’s on a full-time basis.

Meanwhile, even though Station 19 has aired its final episode, fans can expect that characters from the show will still pop up in Grey’s Anatomy from time to time. Should George not return as a regular on the Shonda Rimes show, there is a possibility fans will occasionally see Ben Warren.
Moreover, Stefani Spampinato, who plays Dr. Carina DeLuca, could also be heading back to the hospital. However, as with George nothing has yet been confirmed.
