Stephanie March Would LOVE To Reprise Her Law & Order Role

As a long-running show, Law & Order has accumulated a lot of characters over the years, but there are ones that immediately connect with fans, so much so we miss them when they’re no longer around.

One of those characters we miss is Stephanie March’s Alex Cabot, and luckily for us, she hasn’t entirely ruled out returning for the crime drama series.

In 2000, March joined “Law & Order” as Assistant District Attorney Alex Cabot. For the next three seasons, she had a sort of recurring/regular role on the show.

Even when she exited the series as a recurring character, she continued to do guest appearances in a number of subsequent seasons. However, we haven’t seen her since Season 19 of the show premiered in 2018. As you can see, her return is way overdue.

For the 25th anniversary of “Law & Order,” which took place in New York on Tuesday night, the star looked glamorous in a dazzling royal blue suit.

When asked whether she would care to reprise the ADA on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” she happily said: “I mean, I wouldn’t say no to the opportunity and cash prizes! Yes!”

In fact, she’s still so in tune with her character that she showed up wearing a look she called “Alex Cabot, dialed up!”

As for the joy and purpose behind having an anniversary party, the star revealed how it allowed her to connect with her former co-stars once more.

“I just passed Dann [Florek] and I haven’t seen him in a couple of years, so I’m very excited about that. And Ice and Coco? It’s a good reunion,” she said.

When it comes to why the show has been able to retain its success despite its longevity, March credited the true-crime nature of the show.

“Unfortunately, [the show] is ripped from the headlines. So I do think that people can identify with a lot of what is on the show in terms of content,” March noted. “And I have to say, I think the principal actors are terrific, and I have so much admiration and love for them.”

You can watch “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
