Stranger Things fans have been waiting impatiently for new episodes of the hit sci-fi series to stream on Netflix. There’s good news and bad news.
There is a Stranger Things Season 5 in the pipeline, but it won’t be on Netflix until 2025. In the mean time, we do know that Linda Hamilton has joined the cast.

Linda Hamilton‘s name rings bells. You most likely will recognize her from her iconic role on the Terminator series as Sarah Connor, which one her several awards and accolades over the years.
Stranger Things Season 5 – Gets More Star Power
Hamilton seems to always take on gritty characters and women that take no-nonsense. A popular rumor on Stranger Things message boards and forums is that Linda Hamilton will play the part of some sort of law enforcement officer or government agent.
It’s probably a safe bet considering how we left off at the end of Stranger Things season 4, but there’s no concrete evidence behind that theory yet.
Despite not being able to share any Stranger Things spoilers, Hamilton sat down with Us Weekly to discuss her new Netflix role. What she had to say actually threw some some fans of the series off.
Linda Hamilton – Talks Stranger Things Role
“I’ve watched every season with relish. I just love it … So it’s kind of, like, imposter syndrome where I don’t [feel that I] fit in there.
That’s a whole world set in the ’80s. When you really buy into something, you don’t see yourself in it. So I think in a way, it kind of ruined the show for me.”
Hamilton did try to save face afterward and added, “I never watch [a project], once I’m in something … It would just completely take me out of the reality of it to see myself in there. So I won’t be watching [Season 5].”
