“Suits: L.A.”: Officially Airing On NBC, Premiere Could Drop Earlier Than Anticipated

According to TVLine, the Suits spinoff, Suits: L.A. has been officially ordered by NBC. Starring Stephen Amell, the series has not set a premiere date; however, a source is noting that if it doesn’t debut in early mid-season 2025, it will be by the 2025/2026 schedule.

“Suits: L.A.”: The Spinoff Is All Thanks To Netflix

An announcement was made in October of last year that there were talks of a new Suits spinoff thanks to the resurging popularity of the old series that garnered attention once it began streaming on Netflix.

Suits: L.A. will be the second spinoff from the OG series. For those that recall, the short-lived show, Pearson, ran for one season on USA Network in 2019 and followed Jessica Pearson, who was played by Gina Torres.

But will any original “Suits” appear in Suits: L.A.? It looks like this idea isn’t completely off the table, as Wendell Peirce, who played Robert Zane recently told PopCulture that he would “love” to make an appearance, and Abigail Spencer (Dana “Scottie” Scott) stated she’d be interested in returning.

More On Suits: L.A. & Possible Storylines

As per NBC’s logline for Suits: L.A., “Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.

Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives.” So, it seems the premise of the spinoff will be very similar to the OG show, just on a different part of the U.S.

The series comes from Aaron Korsh, the original creator of Suits, and he also wrote the pilot. In addition, he’ll serve as executive producer, along with Gene Klein, Doug Liman, and David Bartis, as well as Victoria Mahoney, who was the director for the pilot.
