Survivor Spoilers – Prepare For Mastermind
Taylor Swift and her relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce continue to make headlines. And now Survivor hopes to use Swift’s popularity in a mastermind plot. For a preview of its upcoming new episode, CBS created a sneak peek using Taylor’s Midnights single Mastermind and featuring some of Survivor’s new contestant plays and challenges, noted People.
The sneak peek begins with the opening tune of Mastermind. And Survivor contestants stroll along a beach in scenes fitting into a puzzle piece. The preview reveals contestants making fires, hopping into the water for a challenge, and experiencing their new camps.
A voice-over confession shows a contestant admitting, “I’ve watched every season of Survivor.” And another shares, “This is strategic excellence on display.” Scenes include a woman attempting to understand codes and clues, a man cutting down a branch, and teams exchanging high-fives. And contestant Brando Meyer shares, “I’m always thinking, I’m always trying to figure out what’s going on in other people’s brains.”
Survivor Spoilers – Watch For Extended Episodes!
CBS scored big with season 45 of Survivor. And the sneak peek reveals that fans can look forward to extended 90-minute original episodes on CBS and Paramount+. Survivor’s premiere episode ranks as the No. 1 most-watched entertainment episode on the streaming site. And CBS scheduled the premiere of the sneak peeks to take place during several games.
But Survivor clearly chose to include Taylor’s song after seeing the endless headlines about her romance with NFL player Travis Kelce, 34. As a result, the Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Jets game last Sunday became the most-watched Sunday TV show since the Super Bowl.
And more women watched then in previous weeks. For instance, NBC noted that it achieved a 53% increase in viewership among girls 12-17, a 24% increase among women 18-24 and a 34% increase from women 35 and older.
As for how the romance began, Kelce made a confession in July on his podcast about his interest in the songstress. And he admitted, “I wanted to give Taylor Swift [a friendship bracelet] with my number on it.” But he then shared that he felt hurt that the plan failed. However, Kelce and Swift later did connect. And Taylor attended several Chiefs games. The couple also enjoyed an after-party as a couple.
