Uma Thurman leads the cast as a powerful CEO and the mother of the kidnapped boy. Five mysterious, masked kidnappers abduct Thurman’s Katherine Newman’s son at a local hotel. Following the aftermath of the high profile kidnapping, the police arrest five people in connection to the case. What do they have in common? They’re all regular British citizens who were in NYC at the time of the crime.
The movie’s press release reads: “Five ordinary Brits are accused of kidnapping the son of a prominent U.S. media mogul. They embark on a desperate race against time to prove their innocence, but will anyone believe them — and are they telling the truth?”
Suspicion Spoilers – Loyalties And Family
Loyalties and family are brought into question as the five suspects come together to find a way to prove their innocence. But there is one thing, can they trust each other? What if the police were right and one of the kidnappers was amongst their midst. Would they be diving deep into the criminal world or paving a way to prove their innocence?
Even Newman is forced to answer questions regarding her kidnapped son, as the public implores her to tell the truth. “Nobody buys me as a mother. I’ll always be a CEO first,” she says in confidence.
“Without any proof of our innocence, the damage is already done,” one of the suspects adds in a voiceover.
