The Exit Of David McCallum After Season Eighteen Of NCIS Already Finalised?

NCIS  News – David McCallum Missing In Group Photo

In a recently uploaded photo on Instagram by a fellow cast member of the popular crime series, Wilder Valderrama, David was conspicuously missing from the group photo. The cast members were all smiles while dressed in corporate attire. His absence raises some questions: Is David’s character, Ducky, been written out of the series? Is it possible that the cast members will be attending the funeral of Ducky in the new season?

Fans of the NCIS series have lots of reasons to be concerned about the fate of Ducky. They can’t be blamed after watching what happened to the characters played by actresses Emily Fornell and Brenda Palmer. They both left the series after their characters were written out in less than two episodes. Quite clinical script editing by the producers. However, the exiting of Ducky from the series does not feel right at this juncture.

For instance, fans always knew beforehand when a character would not be making a return to a new NCIS season way before the premiere date. Take the case of actress Maria Bello. When she was to leave the show, we were all aware of it well beforehand. So, why would the exit of David be so sudden? Especially when you consider the fact that he has been an integral part of the series right from its first season.

David has not come out with any statement to say he is leaving the NCIS franchise, but it does seem somewhat awful if other cast members are having fun while David is been axed. Of all the original cast members of the series, David has stayed loyal to the series alongside his fellow pioneer, Mark Harmon. But, come to think of it, could they be reasons that would warrant David leaving NCIS?

NCIS News – Reasons Why Ducky Might Be Leaving NCIS

Well, they might be two reasons why David McCallum will be exiting the NCIS series. First off, David is 87 years old after all, and his exit from the crime investigation series could be put down to health reasons. Stepping away from the busy production schedule of the series could benefit him and the series in the long run. He has made cameo appearances here and there, including the 4000th NCIS episode. Fans might be aggrieved if the reason for writing out the Ducky character is because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Another reason why Ducky might be leaving NCIS is that the picture uploaded by Wilmer could be the makings of the funeral scene to announce the shocking news of his death in season thirteen. Whatever it is, we hope the Ducky character still appears in season nineteen.

Don’t write about something you obviously know nothing about. You mentioned “actresses” Emily Fornell and “Brenda Palmer”. 1) Those were both CHARACTERS, and 2) it’s not Brenda, her name was Breena Palmer!

WOW – people can make mistakes. Anyway, there are many reasons David may want to leave the show by his own decision considering his age and other personal reasons to which viewers will never be privy to.
