The Witcher Boss Gives Season 2 Updates

The Witcher The Witcher showrunner Lauren S Hissrich dropped some hints on what to expect about the show’s upcoming second season. The fantasy show’s boss revealed that the production of season 2 is progressing nicely.

Hissrich Reveals The Witcher 2 Is In Post-production

Hissrich shared what their team is up to on Twitter. “Back in London. Back in the (small dark loud) rooms where it happens. That’s right, we’re deep into post-production on #TheWitcher S2, and I’m so f**king excited,” she revealed. She considers herself to be lucky for being able to work on the show and helping it complete its season 2 production.

Extended Season 2 Production

The show’s shoot for the second season was extended because of the COVID-19 pandemic and on-set injuries. Fans may recall that Henry Cavill, who plays the role of Geralt of Rivia, took a break from filming after suffering a leg injury while strapped to a safety harness that was 20 feet off the ground. The production continued to film scenes without Cavill on the show, while he was recovering from his injury.

The Netflix show has done filming the scenes for the new season and is currently in post-production. Nobody knows when a new trailer will be released and fans are starting to get excited.

Followers were quick to react to Hissrich’s update and hoped that a teaser will be released soon. Although Hissrich didn’t provide any other information, fans can still expect a trailer to drop soon.

Netflix has released a synopsis for the upcoming season, which reads “Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen.”

“While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”

The Witcher Season 2 May Be Released On Q4

If all goes according to plan, the teaser may be released between October and December given that Netflix boss Ted Sarandos hinted that “The Witcher” season 2 may be released in the fourth quarter.

The show debuted on Netflix back in December 2019. “The Witcher” season 2 will see the return of Henry Cavill, Anna Shaffer, Joey Batey, Eamon Farren, and MyAnna Buring. New cast members include Adjoa Andoh and Kristofer Hivju.

Other Netflix shows that are expected to return in Q6 are “You” and “Cobra Kai.”
