Yellowstone alum Kevin Costner‘s divorce is getting messy. The court papers have been released. In the meantime, the actor kicked his ex-wife out of their marital home.

Yellowstone Revelation in Shocking Court Papers

Kevin had a career reemergence thanks to the success of the hit Paramount series Yellowstone. Now, his personal life stole the spotlight. Insider.com obtained the official court documents that revealed a shocking revelation from the show.

On June 30, 2023, the court documents pertaining to his divorce from Christine Baumgartner that he was “no longer under contract” with the series. Costner claimed that he made less in 2023 than in 2022. He was removed from the Taylor Sheridan-produced series.

He earned $1.3 million per episode. However, Costner revealed that he hasn’t received compensation for this year’s appearances on the show. Since Costner didn’t sign a “pay-or-play” contract, he doesn’t get paid whether he stars in the series or not. He shared one way he could get paid, which he’s working on.

“Now, any compensation I earn from Yellowstone will derive from my back-end contractual participation rights, which amounts are not fixed,” Kevin Costner said.

The Hollywood star tried to dispute not signing the pay-or-play contract. Regardless, it didn’t work in his favor. As a result, he’s still not owed any money for participating in the series.

Kevin Costner Kicks Ex-Wife Out House

Meanwhile, Kevin Costner’s divorce gets messy. He kicked his ex-wife out of their Santa Barbara home. Costner was caught having an alleged affair with a Yellowstone co-star. However, he wants his ex-wife out of their complex.

Since he’s unemployed, he’s unable to sell their house while she resides in their home. Baumgartner has made it impossible for him to work and make any money. He’s not able to live there for the time being.

“Every day Kevin is not there is a day completion of the Horizon I film is delayed,” an insider told Us Weekly.

Costner is working on Horizon. The four-movie project follows from the beginning of the Civil and concludes during the Western Expansion. He wants to work on the project at his home, but he’s been unable to do so. His editors are staying at the beach house until the project is complete.
