“Yellowstone” Season 5, Spoilers: Lainey Wilson Shares Interesting Update About Final Season

Yellowstone fans need to gear up for more good news concerning Season 5. Country singer Lainey Wilson recently hinted that she’d be returning for the final episodes of the show. She plays the role of Abby, a country music star who is close to the Dutton Family ranch staff.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Wilson teased to interviewer, Cassie DiLaura about a potential return.

When Yellowstone was brought up during her ET interview, Wilson said with a laugh, “I can’t wink, but I’m doing something with my eye right now.” She went on to say, “It’s good news, I’ll tell you that,” adding that she needs to coordinate her music and filming schedules.

She states, “Honestly, I don’t know exactly when they’re gonna start back up, but the truth is, we’re just trying to make sure that we have enough time to get in there and get it done, ’cause we’ve still got a lot going on right now. But it’s a priority.”

This more recent Yellowstone update from Wilson is far more encouraging than a previous one.

During the iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet this past April, Lainey told interviewers she wasn’t sure when the show was returning and if she’d be back.

Then she told Fox News, “I’m still waiting to find out what’s happening with Yellowstone. I have absolutely no clue. I did talk to [Beth Dutton actress] Kelly Reilly the other day and you know, we’ll see what happens.”

After that, Wilson attended the 2024 CMT Music Awards red carpet, and while speaking to DiLaura, the country singer noted that she would be “shocked” if she didn’t come back to Yellowstone.

Still, despite all the hints and teases, it looks like Abby will appear somewhere in those final episodes of the iconic show. Only time will tell.

It’s been announced that the final season of Yellowstone will be returning on November 10th of this year.
