New details about the Yellowstone sequel have been revealed. Fans are dying to know if the original characters will return. Keep on reading to learn more.
Yellowstone – OG Series Films Final Episodes
The hit Paramount series was hit with snags over the years. The delays affected the final season. Kevin Costner was going through a headline-breaking divorce. On top of that, the Hollywood writers’ and actors’ strikes halted filming.
Production finally started with the final episodes. On May 20, Paramount announced they resumed filming for the final half of Yellowstone Season 5. The show is set in Montana. The final episodes will stream in November 2024.
Paramount shared that the storyline will focus on the Dutton family in the following episodes. According to People, the release will tease “shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect.” They will go through varying struggles, such as an “expanding town, an Indiana reservation, and America’s first national park.”
The verdict is out on whether Kevin Costner will return to the series. The actor shared that he’s willing to reprise his role of John Dutton. His feud with Taylor Sheridan could prevent this from happening. The only way for the show to move on is to kill his character.
Costner complained about “scheduling conflicts” and “unfinished scripts,” which led to the delays. He alleged that the producers made it seem like he caused the issues. Costner often butt heads with Sheridan. He also suggested that the crew members didn’t defend him like he felt they should.
