‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff ‘The Madison’ Adds ‘Three Body Problem’ Star To Lineup

Fans of ‘Yellowstone’ will officially be saying their goodbyes to the show with the second part of season 5. While there were reports a season 6 was being discussed, the talks seem to have been dropped in favor of the modern-day spinoff ‘The Madison.’

Before ‘The Madison,’ reports had stated that series creator Taylor Sheridan was working on a new script, which will be led by Matthew McConaughey. Sadly, this seems not to be the case anymore and I’m yet to fully come to terms with that.

Happily, we’ve been promised a lot of great things when it comes to ‘The Madison,’ so much so we can’t help but wait patiently for it to drop.

Yellowstone Spoilers – All We Know About the Upcoming ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff

Originally titled ‘2024,’ the first modern-day ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff has undergone a bit of a name change to become ‘The Madison.’ Hopefully they plan on keeping it this time and it won’t turn into another ‘Agatha All Along’ naming fiasco.

According to Variety, Ben Schnetzer, who is best known for his lead role in FX’s adaptation of ‘Y: The Last Man,’ has been added to the growing cast that already includes other notable names like ‘Suits’ Patrick J. Adams, Michelle Pfeiffer, Elle Chapman, Matthew Fox, Beau Garrett and Amiah Miller.

Schnetzer’s role has been revealed as Van, “a salt-of-the-earth and neighborly Montana rancher.” No doubt his character will prove an exciting counterpart to Adams’ “young investment banker” Russell McIntosh, “who has followed the life path set before him from the start.”

Other exciting characters include Chapman’s Paige McIntosh, “a somewhat self-centered woman who indulges in a luxurious New York lifestyle provided by her parents and investment banker husband,” and Garrett’s Abigail Reese, “a resilent and sardonic New Yorker, who is a recently divorced mother of two.”

The official logline describes the show as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”

The series will be executive produced by the creator Taylor Sheridan via his production company, Bosque Ranch Productions, alongside David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Christina Voros, Michael Friedman, Pfeiffer, and Keith Cox.

The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.
