Yellowstone spoilers reveal that Wes Bentley may have a hard time playing Jamie Dutton on the show. Now that Season Five is here, he has been talking more about the character and how it has started to weigh on him in real life.

He has played Jamie for five years and the character is one of a kid. He has been challenged by playing him and it doesn’t seem as if he ever thought a character would make him feel this way. Let’s find out why this character has been so hard for him to play.

Jamie Dutton is a challenging role for Bentley to play, but he has done it with grace for the last five years. Jamie has been very rewarding for Bentley though.

He told his fans, “I find it really rewarding to get to work on things that are difficult to achieve, and I hope I did it pretty good.” He has never “really identified” with Jamie and this has brought some difficulty into his real life.

Bentley went on to say, “He’s got a lot of baggage, a lot of heavy things to carry the load with. And so it’s been a real challenge in my real life, but not one to complain about.”

Bentley does feel as if Jamie is one of the most hated characters on the show and in practically any Western show. He is a sad person and this part of the character has weighed on Bentley’s real life.

Playing Jamie is difficult and Bentley has tried to leave him at the door when he goes home to his real life. Once the door is closed on the set, he does his best to forget about the character until the next day.

This has been very hard for him with Jamie though. Bentley pointed out that Jamie’s sadness seems to always be with him, even though he isn’t a sad person and has a great family that supports him.

It may be complicated for Bentley to play Jamie, but fans love to see him in this role and how he plays him with excellence is just one of a kind.
