Yellowstone spoilers and updates tease that season 5 consists of 14 episodes, in two seven-episode parts. Presently, Yellowstone fans are eagerly anticipating episode 9 which will be released TBA but based on the episode schedule, it is expected to air on January 8th, 2023, but rumors are that the wait may be longer.
Yellowstone Spoilers – A Tragic Loss?
There is a lot to be excited about in the second part of season 5. There is a possibility that there could be a death in the Dutton family, and its impact on the family farm and empire could change their futures forever.
The feud between Beth Dutton and Jamie Dutton is at its highest point ever. Jamie is entering dangerous waters aligning with Sarah Atwood and it might just get him burned in the end. Beth has a lot of influence on her father, John Dutton, could she talk him into having Jamie killed? Or, could Jamie have John killed? That would probably be a more likely scenario.
There is talk about a Dutton seeing their demise, but it seems odd that it would happen in season 4 if it didn’t happen in the season 3 finale where it was more likely as many of the Dutton’s lives were put in danger.
Jamie, John, and Beth are compelling to watch and the loss of any one of them would be devastating. Yet, someone might have to exit in order for the series to continue to be believable moving forward.
Yellowstone Updates – An Alternative Scenario
The series teased on Rip Wheeler’s birthday, “Get ready, Yellowstone TV fans. Something big is coming.” Could this mean that Rip is the one in the family who will be axed? This definitely could open up a number of storylines for the newlyweds.
Actor Cole Hauser, who portrays Rip Wheeler commented on the rumors of his demise after the tweet, “My mom’s told me a couple of them and I said, ‘Mom, I do the killing. Don’t worry about it. I think we’re OK. For now.”
There is a softness in Rip when it comes to Beth, but there is also a darkness that can get him into trouble. If Jamie goes full-on attack mode on Beth, Rip won’t be far behind, even though we all know Jamie will need the saving, not Beth.
Beth smacked Jamie in the face with a rock and threatened to tell everyone he killed his biological father. Jamie was ready and told her about the “train station” where he buried his dad’s body, which was where the Duttons have killed and thrown bodies over the years. If this were a game of chess, it is Beth’s move!
