Cuba Gooding is notorious for having nonconsensual touching with different women. There have been reports from several women that the Oscar-winning actor, 54, has forcibly touched them in parts of their bodies which they consider private without their consent. The reports on Cuba’s sexual harassment dates for as far back as 2018 and has originated from over 30 women. Two years ago, August 2020, a lady who wished to remain anonymous filed a lawsuit against the actor stating that Cuba raped her in the year 2013 in a hotel in New York.
On Cuba Gooding Jr. Plea Deal And The Resolved Case
In April, Cuba pleaded guilty to forcibly kissing a woman he met in a hotel in the year 2018, Cuba said he kissed the woman full on her lips without her consent, a plea deal was made with the actor, that he stay out of arrests, and complete six months of alcohol and behavior modification counseling for the period of six months.
After Cuba pleaded guilty and a plea deal was made, Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Coleen Balbert said, “I would just like to say that we fully credit and believe all of the survivors in this case and thank all of the women and other witnesses who cooperated with our office during the pendency of our investigation.”
Since the year 2019, Cuba has been receiving alcohol and behavior modification counseling so, Thursday, Oct. 13, the actor passed the plea deal, leading him to drop the misdemeanor plea and take up a plea of a lesser charge which is harassment violation. Cuba’s guilty plea on this lesser charge meant that he would not have a criminal record attached to his name concerning the case and, had Cuba not passed the plea deal assignment, he would surely serve a jail term of at least one year.
In a statement released by Cuba Gooding’s representative Peter Toumbekis concerning Cuba’s successful plea deal case, Peter said, “Mr. Gooding’s case with satisfactorily concluded with no criminal record and no criminal conviction, I hope and trust everyone can now move forward.”

What One Of Cuba Gooding Jr. Accusers Said
Following the news that Cuba won’t be facing any jail time for his non-consensual touching attitudes, one of his accusers made her disapproval of the verdict known outside the courthouse. The accuser who goes by the name Kelsey Harbert said, “At what point are we going to take this seriously? When will we decide that this is dangerous behavior? And when is it the court’s responsibility to protect the public from someone like him?” Kelsey went on to say, “the system is supposed to be about what he did. Not who he is.”
