“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” will hit theaters on May 6. The highly anticipated sequel will be starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda/Scarlett Witch.
Who else could be making an appearance in the upcoming MCU movie? Read on to find out.
Patrick Stewart Denies Being Responsible For People Assuming He’s Cast in “Doctor Strange” Sequel
Patrick Stewart recently addressed rumors that started as a result of a voice clip which aired during the trailer’s run at the Super Bowl LVI. The new trailer included the words “We should tell him the truth,” which was voiced by someone that remarkably sounds like the Marvel’s “X-Men” film series alum Patrick Stewart.
The rumors started last week and quickly gained enough momentum for the 81-year-old British actor, who previously played the telekinetic Professor Charles Xavier in Marvel’s “X-Men”, to address the misinformation.
While he didn’t completely rule out his involvement with the project, he did caution people against associating the voice with him, since, according to him, voice actors like to mimic his speaking style.
“You know, people have been imitating my voice ever since I came on the stage 60 years ago,” Stewart told Comic Book in a recent interview. “So, I can’t be held responsible for that.”
Ryan Reynolds Confirms He’s Not Involved In The Upcoming “Doctor Strange” Sequel
Ryan Reynolds also spoke out about his MCU character Deadpool’s involvement in the movie. Speculations about the popular Marvel anti-hero’s appearance in the upcoming sequel recently soared amongst fans when the movie’s poster was released. Fans were convinced they spotted an image of the anti-hero in the poster. (The evidence was further strengthened with the knowledge that Disney has merged with 20th Century Fox, which owned the first two “Deadpool” movies).

“I guess I’m not really supposed to say anything about that, but I’m really not in the movie,” Reynolds told Variety. “I could be an unreliable narrator, but I promise you I’m not in the movie.”
The action-packed trailer shows Doctor Strange enlisting the help of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch in order to control colliding universes. The latest adventure will also see him come face to face with his dark variant, Strange Supreme, who made an appearance in the Disney+ series “What If…?”
