Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) was devastated by Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) death. In a way his passing was connected to her although she bears no blame in his demise. Rey was set to take Chelsea and her son to a soccer game when tragedy struck. He forgot the tickets and had to go back home to get them, and subsequently he suffered a heart attack while driving. He did not survive and Chelsea was devastated. Is she ready to turn a life-altering corner and start a new chapter?

Nate and Imani are now working together which puts them in close proximity. Turns out that Elena is going out of town for business and perhaps she should be worried. After all, she and Nate hooked up by cheating on their respective partners, way back when. Is karma waiting around the proverbial corner?

Meanwhile, look for crafty Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) to try and get in further on Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) good side. She has made tremendous inroads since her denounced reappearance from the dead. Her son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is letting his neediness cloud his judgment where she is concerned. He is so eager to please that those around him think he is caving unnecessarily to his eager mom.
His gestures of goodwill could rub off on Jack, who was angry as King Neptune when he found out his baby mamma was alive. Not only that, she scammed him via an elaborate scheme. When she comes to him for looking for sympathy, how will he respond?
A lot could depend on his fractious non-relationship with Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford), Diane’s new BFF (not).
