Epic Universe Celestial Park Coming To Universal Orlando Resort

There’s a lot of exciting things coming to NBCUniversal’s newest Florida-based theme park. For one, it’s coming as early as 2025 and it’s set to feature five amazing and completely immersive lands. Always wanted to cast some spells at Hogwarts or ride the broom as it were? Now you get to do it and more.

Universal Unveils First Official Look At Upcoming Epic Universe Park

NBCUniversal has commissioned a very big project that will see them bring five of their biggest IPs to live, including “Harry Potter” and “How To Train Your Dragon.”

The aim is to make these parks as immersive as possible, while drawing on the movie monsters-inspired Dark Universe and the previously announced Super Nintendo World. Don’t tell me it’s not a good time to be alive.

NBC Universal teased plans for the theme park and resort on Tuesday.

The Celestial Park, as it’s called, will be a land that embodies the full “park” experience, with features of lush, living gardens, shimmering waterways and calming strolling parks, where you get to see the wonders of mythological-inspired architecture brought to life in astronomical amounts.

The announcement also confirmed the themes of Epic Universe’s parks as Super Nintendo World: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk and Dark Universe.

“Universal Epic Universe marks a huge transformational moment for Universal Orlando Resort and it will change everything about our destination,” Karen Irwin, president and chief operating officer of Universal Orlando Resort, revealed in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “This will be the exciting culmination of our amazing growth over the past 30-plus years and will transform Universal Orlando into a weeklong vacation destination filled with the most thrilling experiences imaginable.”

Celestial will serve as a gateway to Epic Universe’s other park, and, as a first stop for all park guests, it will feature in-park accommodations, fountain shows, a wet-play area, a carousel, a dual-launch racing coaster, and themed restaurants and shops.

One of the best features of Celestial is set to be the Constellation Carousel which will take an audience of any age through the interesting and wonderful space called the Milky Way. Guests have the chance to glide forward or backward on the constellations, as well as make 360-degree rotations in what the park describes as a “dance of music and starlight.”
