General Hospital Spoilers: Margaux Overshares At DoD, Her Position As DA At Risk?

General Hospital spoilers tease that DA Margaux Dawson (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will overshare her personal business at a Dawn Of Day seminar and possibly put her position as District Attorney or even some of her cases at risk! Margaux is undoubtedly in emotional overload over her childhood memories being shattered, and feeling her whole life has been a lie, after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) gave her mother’s love letters to Joe Scully (Robert Miano) to her and she knew her father was working for a mobster, and her mother was having an affair with his boss and even ordered the hit on him!

Since Margaux has occasion to use psychiatrists and work with them when prosecuting crimes, she probably doesn’t want to go that route, even if doctor-patient confidentiality should come into play. It would just be awkward if the psychiatrist she bares her soul to was one she had to work with on a prosecution case.

“Emotional overload” is a condition where someone has kept their emotional and psychological wounds and grief to themselves for so long, and not dealt with them on their own or confided them to a close friend or family member that he or she is literally ready to explode! Usually, people who deal with the storms of life in that manner become workaholics, and focusing solely on their work distracts them from their inner pain – for a while. Sometimes they distract themselves in other ways as well; sometimes they become “wounded healers” who reach out to others and offer help, others become destructive to themselves, like Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) appears to be doing.

Others lash out and become destructive to others, which it seems is how Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) may have become in response to his abuse as a child. Ryan, however, also appears to have personality disorders, undoubtedly narcissism and sociopathy, and possibly oppositional defiant disorder or intermittent explosion disorder. Margaux, however, fits perfectly into the classifications “emotional overload” and “workaholic”.

The problem with emotional overload is when people finally feel safe to talk about their emotional traumas, they become a verbal volcano, and sometimes tell things they shouldn’t because it makes them feel so much better! Everything just comes out all at once!

If an investigation should come up of Dawn of Day, Shiloh will have information that would preclude Margaux from prosecuting him or the organization because of conflict of interest, and some of what she overshares could pertain to other cases as well, if people are present in the group that is under investigation for upcoming court cases!
