General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin Consults Martin, Ready To Fight To Be In His Baby With Brook Lynn’s Life?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will find himself consulting once again with Attorney Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) in upcoming episodes of General Hospital! This time, it will be to find out his custody options when Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) acknowledges he is the father of her baby but refuses to allow him to co-parent!

General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Is Shocked To See A Pregnant Brook Lynn Quartermaine

General Hospital viewers can imagine the shock when Valentin spotted a pregnant Brook Lynn Quartermaine! Of course, he would be shocked when he recalls that one night stand with her several months ago right before she left Port Charles! Viewers will remember that she looked at an at-home pregnancy test that had shown positive. Then she went back to Bensonhurst to spend time with her mother, Lois Cerullo (formerly Rena Sofer) for several months, having felt rejected by her father, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).

She also was feeling guilty for deleting Olivia Quartermaine’s (Lisa LoCicero) messages to him while she was overseas with Robert Scorpio, (Tristan Rogers) helping him look for his presumed dead wife, Holly Scorpio (Emma Samms). Brook Lynn’s actions in deleting Olivia’s email were partially responsible for their breakup when Ned got drunk and had a one night stand with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

Now, Brook Lynn has returned to Port Charles, and had purposely avoided coming in the house when she spotted Valentin and wouldn’t tell Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) who the father is. But when Valentin confronted her about her pregnancy, she did confess it to him. Valentin of course will want to help raise the child, and share custody. But Brook Lynn will not allow him to! Valentin then places a call to his attorney, Martin Grey and sets up a meeting!

GH Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Wants To Know What His Options Are Regarding Forcing Brook Lynn Quartermaine To Allow Him His Parental Rights

Brook Lynn may not give birth for a few more months, although she does appear to be pretty far along. This meeting with Martin, therefore, is to discuss what possible options that Valentin may have legally to force Brook Lynn into allowing Valentin his parental rights. Valentin should remember some of the the necessary things since he went through the same thing with Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) over Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) custody arrangements. But there was already plenty of proof available that Valentin is Charlotte’s father, not so with Brook Lynn’s baby.

Martin tells him before anything else can be discussed in a family court a paternity test will be required! Brook Lynn will have to submit to the paternity test either before the baby is born, which would require a slightly invasive procedure in which amniotic fluid is extracted from her uterus, which she may not be willing to do. The other way is to do the paternity test after the baby is born, which Martin would be able to get a warrant to obtain.

Martin highly discouraged Valentin from plucking a hair from a new baby in order to get the DNA, for one thing, it wouldn’t stand up in court, for the other thing, what if the baby is bald? Valentin had mentioned Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) plucking a hair from his head to find out if Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) was a Cassadine that time, and considering Valentin found out since that he wasn’t one either, they have a laugh over the irony! Nothing can be done about custody options until paternity is established, so everything will have to wait until the baby is born and Martin can obtain a warrant for a paternity test to be done and once that proof is in hand, then they can proceed!
