The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that fans have not stopped asking and wondering, will Chance Chancellor return? Donny Boaz was the last actor cast in the role but after Chance got a mysterious phone call immediately following his wedding to Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) he took off to save the world!
In November 2020 Y&R temporarily recast the role with Justin Gaston due to Boaz’s positive COVID diagnosis. However, in February Boaz announced that he’d been written off the show.

That put a major pinch in the newlywed’s plans to start a family asap. But before he took off the ingenious couple asked Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) to be their surrogate as Abby discovered she was not able to carry a child.
She said yes! But then darn if Chance didn’t find out he had a low sperm count. It looked like the universe was conspiring against the couple and then he got that fateful phone call that sent him off on a mission that apparently was a whole lot more important than tending to his heartbroken wife and growing the family he promised her.
Y&R Spoilers – Will Chance Chancellor Return to Claim What’s His?
Luckily, everything changed when Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) stepped up to offer his little swimmers. What a guy!
Billionaire Devon is such a swell guy in fact that that even Chance’s mom jumped at the chance to become a grandma to his spawn.
But the reality is that Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) revealed that because Chance is off on a top-secret mission, and no one, not even her, knows when he’ll be back. So what does that really mean, translated from soap-talk?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Will Chance Chancellor Return To A Brand New Family?
It means he could be back tomorrow, or never. Or maybe for May Sweeps.
It’s hard to tell where the current plot is going although there is all kinds of speculation about what could happen. For instance, will Teriah fall in love with the baby and want to keep it? Will Devon be able to be a silent partner so to speak and not want to be a father figure to his own child, his first born?
And then there is the possibility that Chance returns and is the odd man out?

I was really looking forward to Abby and Chance going on a journey to parenthood. I thought it being a difficult journey would have made for a challenging story for the actors and interesting for us fans. However not 5 mins into the marriage we had a rushed, spoiled Abby blubbering like she had been trying for a baby for years and her fertility days were running out. I normally like Abby's character but I completely lost sympathy with this spoiled, I am Abby Newman and I want a baby now boohoo, poor me story. It went from promising to silly and pathetic with lightening speed. Now we have this gaggle of friends, who are letting Abby take over their lives, moving Mariah out of her own home! It's just an unbelievable, rediculous, childish mess. Doting husband Chance just vanished overnight in the middle of his pampering, what a load of tosh!. Donny should not have been let go and Chance and Abby adopting or fostering would have been a better story. This story where Abby is acting like she's picking out friends like breeding a pedigree puppy is silly and boring. I skip it, sorry Melissa and characters involved, you are all worth better.
I would love to see chance back
what ever it is that happened for God;s sake fix it and bring him back. and make it the guy we all like that was playing him Donny Boaz . Such a stupid idea but I like that Maraih and Devon stepped up for Abbey. come on make it right bring him back
