Royal Family News: Prince Harry ‘Lobbed A Bomb Into The Heart’ Of The Monarchy

British royal family news teases that not everyone approves of the bombastic way Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry went about airing their family laundry to talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

According to royal expert Penny Junor, the couple did nothing less than betray the monarchy and have inflicted lasting damage since they quit as senior royals. She said they, “lobbed a huge bomb into the heart of the institution,” with their accusations to Oprah Winfrey.

Junor said, “When Harry and Meghan left a year ago people were surprised and disappointed because they were a great pair. Harry was a hugely-popular royal and Meghan was a great asset to the family.

“A year on, I think a lot of people are really angry and think that they have betrayed their family and lobbed a huge bomb into the heart of the institution and sort of taken a swipe at the UK as well.”

It was the jaw dropping two-hour televised sit-down with Winfrey that seemed to hammer the final nail into the death of the couple’s one time popularity with the public. During that time they accused the royals of all sorts of mistreatment, all the while they were living high on the hog at the taxpayer’s expense.

The interview aired while Harry’s 99-year-old grandfather Philip was in the hospital recovering from heart surgery and many people called on the couple to postpone the interview out of respect for Philip. The couple refused, but later said they would have killed the interview if Philip had died.

Royal Family News – What is Next For Harry And Meghan?

Among other things, Harry said he felt “let down” by his father Prince Charles. Why? Because 30-something Harry was still being given an allowance by his dad and he claims Charles cut him off.

In fact several sources have disputed this, claiming that Harry received money from Charles until not long ago.

Junor went on to say the entirety of the crisis wrought by Harry is worse than the abdication of Edward VIII. “The circumstances are very different. Edward VIII was pushed out, whereas Harry and Meghan chose to leave – but I think this is more damaging,” she said.
