Plans For A Friends Reunion A Long Time Coming
The making of a Friends reunion special show has been in the pipeline for some time. In the early part of last year, the original cast members announced that they were getting back together to film a reunion. The filming was delayed majorly because of the global coronavirus pandemic outbreak.
The news of the impending filming of the special reunion has not only been confirmed through Matthew’s slip-up on Instagram. Another member of the production crew, who happens to be the set designer, Greg Grande, also posted a picture of the original apartment in New York used during the Friends series. He also took down his post afterward.
Schwimmer also confirmed production of the reunion special was taking place in a recent interview with Andy Cohen last month. He said that filming was going to start in about a month, with certain parts of the show been filmed outside because of the coronavirus safety procedures that all crew members had to comply with at this time. At the moment, it looks like filming is going according to schedule. Anticipating fans will have to wait until the reunion show premieres on HBO Max special on a date yet to be announced.
