Hilary Duff News – Not The First Time We’ve Heard About A Sequel, But Quite Possibly The Final Time As It Looks Set To Happen This Time Around
This is not the first time a gender-flipped sequel has been attempted for the show. A show titled How I Met Your Dad, starring Greta Gerwig, with Meg Ryan narrating from the future was meant to air during the 2014—2015 season, but CBS never ordered it. Aptaker and Berger also tried to do a spinoff in 2016, but the focus shifted to This Is Us and that project got put on hold.
The original series starring Josh Radnor as Ted, Cobie Smulders as Robin, Jason Segel as Marshall, Alyson Hannigan as Lily, and Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson ran for nine seasons.
