Coronation Street Spoilers: Nina Abandons Gothic Lifestyle While Self-Blaming For Seb’s Death

Coronation Street spoilers and updates reveal Friday’s double-bill showed Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) turning her back from her gothic identity while blaming herself for the tragic incident that killed her boyfriend Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni).

The teenager made her life-changing decision at her uncle Roy Cropper’s cafe. After washing off her dark make-up and throwing all her black clothes in a bag bin, the young lady revealed her “natural self” wearing plain clothes and her face bare to Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey), Carla Connor (Alison King), and Roy (David Neilson).

The trio looked confused and concerned. Nina asked why they’re staring, and they said she doesn’t look like her.

But instead of feeling attacked, Nina felt proud: “Good. Seb was killed because of who I was, so I’ve decided not to be her anymore.”

Coronation Street Spoilers – The Blame Game

Nina’s decision to abandon her identity rooted in her guilt. While she was still grieving over Seb’s tragic twist and struggling to remember the details of the attack, she concluded that everything was her fault.

Nina wept while talking to her uncle Roy, who visited her in the hospital. She wished they had gone a different way.

Nina wanted to discharge herself in the previous episode, wishing that she could at least remember something if she’ll be at the place where the attack had taken place.

Yet this traumatized teenager has tasted more slice of hell in tonight’s hour-long episode when Seb’s mother Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) harshly blamed her.

After being released from the hospital, she returned to the cobbles. She spotted Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) and confronted her about how Corey Brent (Max Evans) had eluded justice after Kelly Neelan’s (Millie Gibson) was arrested.

But the mourning mother, Abi, interjected and told Nina she needs to accept some blame before she passes some to others. Traumatized Nina wanted to make sure she understands what she meant but Abi exclaimed: “All this started because of you. Because of what you look like!”

The police had recently informed her about the developments of the investigation and had revealed Nina was the target of the attack and not Seb. This disappointed Abi for her son’s unique relationship with a modern girl.

“Look at you! You’re still wearing your stupid clothes and your make-up. It was you who got him killed! ‘You look like a freak!” Abi claimed.

Nina ran off, heartbroken at Abi’s outburst. Her uncle Roy later found her sobbing where the incident happened.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Finding Comfort

Asha supported her ex-girlfriend Nina with a sweet gesture. She offered to keep Nina’s black dresses, in case she decides to be herself again.

David Neilson, recently told Digital Spy, that his character Roy feels terrible for Nina “conforming.”

“The thing is with Roy, he avoids the crowds. Nina is not part of the crowd and suddenly she wants to dress to be invisible and to be part of the crowd. Roy can see that’s damaging to her individuality and personality, but it is obviously a phase,” he explained.
