Now, just days after kicking off June with some wonderfully romantic movie debuts, the Hallmark Channel has cooked up a very special murder mystery. And when we note “cooked up,” we’re giving you a clue!
Remember the delightful “Murder, She Baked“ mystery series on Hallmark? The drama’s two stars return in a new murder mystery!
Get all the details on the film that will reunite two of Hallmark’s most beloved stars, Alison Sweeney and Cameron Mathison, below.
Soap Opera Stars Alison Sweeney, Cameron Mathison Reunite In
We loved the Hallmark Channel’s “Murder, She Baked” series for the opportunity the films offered Alison and Cameron to display their acting skills. Sweeney, a familiar face from “Days Of Our Lives” as well as “The Biggest Loser,” and Mathison, famed for his role as Ryan on “All My Children,” proved the perfect pairing.
Now Hallmark has found a way to reunite these stars in a new film within their Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie franchise. Look for Alison to return to her role as expert chef/baker Hannah Swensen.
In addition, Mathison will reprise his role as Mike Kingston. And don’t miss the return of the talented actress Barbara Niven, once again portraying Hannah’s mother Delores Swensen.
Hallmark Channel To Debut New Mystery This Summer!
Set to premiere this summer, the new film will show Sweeney as Hannah and Mathison as Mike cherishing their recent engagement. But love doesn’t stop the two from keeping up with their careers.
What could go wrong with the couple’s plan to combine romance with their busy work schedules? Drop-in a murder that takes place at Hannah’s gym, and gets ready for the ultimate twist in those carefully made wedding plans!
Can Hannah persuade Mike that she can wear a detective hat along with her chef hat without interfering in his official detective work? We smell something exciting cooking in the Hallmark Channel kitchen!
“I’m so excited to revisit Hannah Swensen and to again work with Cameron and Barbara on these fun stories that combine romance with intrigue,” gushed Alison Sweeney in a statement about the new Hallmark movie. “The fans have been so vocal in their love of these characters and it’s exciting to be bringing them back to life and to return to Hannah’s bakery where it all began.”
