British royal family news shows that the royal family may be tiring of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Duchess Of Sussex ex-pat trash talk. Up until now, the royals have kept a stiff upper lip under the torrent of verbal abuse lobbed their way by the thirsty pair, but now one senior royal has a comeback.

Edward, Earl of Wessex, is the queen’s youngest child. He recently spoke to CNN to honor his father Prince Philip during a week in which the late royal would have turned 100.

Inevitably, the talk turned to the incredibly combative behavior of the Markle’s who inexplicably chose to threaten legal action soon after the birth of their second child, presumably on her behalf. SMH.

Edward and his wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, are being seen and heard from more in light of Markle’s defection, the death of Philip, and Prince Andrew’s erasure from public view due to questions over his link to late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Edward noted that the last year or so has been as challenging for the royal family as it has been for everyone else. Of his father’s COVID-19 restricted funeral he said, “It was an experience that so many other families have had to go through during this past year or 18 months and so in that sense, it was particularly poignant.”

He added, “There are an awful lot of people who haven’t been able to express the respect that they would like to have done. I think many people would have liked to have been there to support the Queen.”

He added that the 95-year-old monarch is, “actually doing remarkably well.”

“I think that it was a fantastic partnership, but over the last couple of weeks, life has got considerably busier. Things are beginning to open up more, there are more activities so weirdly that sort of fills any particular void,” he said.

And then there was the question of Harry and Meghan. In an Oprah Winfrey interview, they launched a verbal war against his family, as Philip was on his deathbed. Then, hours after his second child was born, Harry oddly decided it was good and proper to threaten to sue the BBC for reporting on her.

What does Edward think of all of Markle’s bizarre behavior? “Listen, weirdly we’ve all been there before — we’ve all had excessive intrusion and attention in our lives. And we’ve all dealt with it in slightly different ways, and listen, we wish them the very best of luck,” he said. Boom.
