General Hospital viewers will recall that Nina had returned to Port Charles for a visit with Wiley, leaving “Mike” aka Sonny behind in Nixon Falls, Pennsylvania. Nina had told Wiley the whole story, that she wondered whether she should tell his father or his other grandma that his Grandpa Sonny is alive. Nina even told Wiley why she was keeping this secret – because his other grandma, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was mean when she tried to tell her before.

She even told Wiley that Carly is mean a lot! But Wiley is three years old – and a three-year-old understands a lot more than what Nina obviously thinks. Wiley is talking quite well now too, after all, he’s only two years away from kindergarten and already is old enough for preschool! Nina is acting about him like he’s still more like one or two years of age! Even though Nina has experience with small children as Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) stepmother, General Hospital viewers will remember Charlotte was already a couple of years older than Wiley when Nina married Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart)!

Nina may not take into account that Wiley’s adoptive mother, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) may be teaching Wiley a lot of things most parents would not, considering she is a trained schoolteacher – she was Charlotte’s teacher! Nina should know that Willow would be likely teaching Wiley to prepare him for entering school.

GH Spoilers And Rumors – Wiley Corinthos Didn’t React To Nina Reeves’ Statements About His Grandpa

General Hospital viewers know that just because Wiley didn’t react to Nina talking about his Grandpa Sonny being alive and his Grandma Carly being mean doesn’t mean he didn’t understand what she was saying! He was confused and upset when Nina had previously told him that Willow wasn’t his real mother, but he was several months younger when she told him that.

Nina likely still has an attitude against Willow from when she disagreed with how she was treating and teaching Charlotte when she was her school teacher a few years back! General Hospital viewers will recall how Michael and Willow got upset with Nina for trying to tell her that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) had been his real mother, especially considering that Nelle is dead, and Wiley’s not old enough to understand death. He hasn’t even had a hamster or a puppy or other pet that has sadly died, and likely doesn’t understand what death means when they call his Grandpa Sonny that word.

Wiley probably doesn’t remember Sonny that much, not as much as his aunt Avery Corinthos-Jerome (Ava and Grace Scarola) would, for instance. That can be a blessing for Wiley, not having to understand what death means. But just think what will happen if Wiley tells someone, probably Michael or Willow, that Grandma Nina told him Grandpa Sonny is alive and didn’t know whether she should tell anyone or not! What if Wiley told his uncle Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) what Grandma Nina said?

Would they take him at his word, considering how young he is, or think he was having nightmares? It could very well be that Wiley is the one who brings Sonny home from Nixon Falls to Port Charles even if he is just mimicking Nina and not understanding the meaning of the words! But Nina would do well to not underestimate what her grandson can and cannot understand!
