Hallmark Hallmark Channel star Andrea Brooks is a busy actress these days. While she is already preparing to film for season 9 of When Calls the Heart, she is also starring in two new romantic movies. So far, it is unknown whether the two new movies will air on the Hallmark Channel. However, readers can find out what we do know below.
Hallmark News – Andrea Brooks To Star In Sit, Stay, Love
The first movie, Sit, Stay, Love, is perfect for dog lovers. In the film Andrea stars as a woman whose tightly controlled life begins to loosen up after she adopts a dog. She falls in love with her new furry companion, along with the owner of the animal shelter she adopted the dog from. Marcus Rosner stars as the animal shelter owner and the canine star is Nova, who plays Sam.
According to director Heather Hawthorn Doyle, the movie was filmed from March to May 2021 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Meanwhile, Brooks took to Instagram to share an image of herself and her co-stars.
She captioned the image, “Missing this cohort led by the fiercely talented @hhdtvis! What a fun whirlwind!!! So excited for this one to come out! #SitStayLove.”
While it is still unclear whether Sit, Stay Love will air on Hallmark, the director has worked on several films for the channel. Doyle directed Love by the Book, Love in the Afternoon and A Godwink Christmas: First Loves, Second Chances for Hallmark.
Hallmark News – Marcus Rosner On Sit, Stay, Love
Meanwhile, Marcus Rosner also posted on Instagram about the upcoming movie.
While he added quite a long caption, he did say he had one of the “smoothest most enjoyable shoots ever with these fine folks over the last month.”He went on to praise Andrea Brooks, writing, “The woman has been bouncing between two hit shows for years while becoming a new mother and maintaining a reputation as a kind, intelligent, genuine person. To spend time with her is to understand how all of that can be possible.”
Meanwhile, he also wrote about his furry co-star, Nova. Apparently, this is the dog’s first leading role and Marcus couldn’t imagine things going any smoother. “This dog literally needed to be a “Superpup” and make me look like I knew what I was doing as a dog-whispering trainer and luckily for me she completely sold it.”
With these three gorgeous and talented stars, Sit, Stay, Love sounds like a winner to us!
Hallmark News – Andrea Brooks In Fishing For Love
Andrea’s second upcoming movie is Fishing for Love, which she posted about on Instagram back on July 9, writing that it is “coming soon.”
Brooks co-stars with Spencer Lord in this romantic movie. A brief synopsis tells us, “When Kendall, a successful restaurant designer comes home to Mystic Bay for the annual Big Catch Festival, she finds herself in uncharted waters with town newcomer Zack. Is Kendall baited for trouble in her home town or will she catch true love?”
Reportedly, the movie was filmed in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia. However, other details are scarce right now. As noted above, it is unclear so far if either movie will head to the Hallmark Channel, but both seem to be a perfect match.
