Balmoral has long been a refuge for the queen. Every summer Queen Elizabeth spends time at her picturesque estate in the Scottish Highlands. This is where she is spotted driving her Range Rover or enjoying a horseback ride. The estate spans 50,000 acres and the topography is diverse with mountains, forests, valleys, pastures, lochs, grouse moors, and gardens.

Balmoral is a private residence but tourists are welcome there from April to July. And if you would like to stay overnight there are cottages to book.

Royal Family News – Mustique Is A Must

The Cambridges count Mustique as a favorite vacation spot. Kate Middleton vacationed there with her family for years, before she married Prince William. In 2019 the pair attended the 50th anniversary party for the island’s infamous Basil’s Bar and one of Prince George’s official birthday portraits was taken there.

Paparazzi are banned from the island which is another good reason for the royals to visit. Princess Margaret owned a villa there that is now a private rental.

Royal Family News – An Archipelago Is  Favorite Destination

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reported to be vacationing this moment on the Isles of Scilly. They are there with their three children and have visited in the past as well. The land mass is an archipelago off of Cornwall. Last year the family stayed at Dolphin House, described as a charming stone cottage in Tresco with impressive views of the ocean. The dreamy isle doesn’t allow cars but that’s no problem since the family have been known to enjoy bike riding.

Royal Family News – Prince Charles And The Duchess Of Cornwall Enjoy Corfu

Where do Prince Charles and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall like to get away from it all? They have been to Corfu on repeat summer vacations. Corfu is a gilded Greek island best known for its nightlife and groves of olive trees. In 2017 the happy couple enjoyed some time vacationing on a superyacht and at a villa.

Fun fact: Charles’s father, Prince Philip, was born on the island in 1921.
