British royal family news shows that Prince Harry’s popularity continues to nosedive in the US. After news of his memoir broke, a poll recorded that just one in four Americans have any interest in reading his manured memories.

Last month Page Six leaked the news about Prince Harry’s scribbles, and reportedly he was caught off guard, having to hastily inform his family of his latest PR venture. The book is due to be published next year and many royal fans and experts fully expect Hollywood’s clown prince to further eviscerate his family with rude observations and bombshell drops.

The surprising news was said to have the royals on edge, given Harry’s penchant for roasting his family in interviews. Now a recent YouGov poll suggests that Americans aren’t much interested in what Harry has to tell his ghostwriter.

Royal Family News – Harry’s Popularity Plummets

According to the July survey, a mere nine percent of Americans said they were, “very interested,” in reading Harry’s musings, and 16 percent said they were, “fairly interested.”

Thus, 25 percent of the nearly 8,000 people polled expressed any degree of interest in the book.

More revealing is that the majority of respondents (51 percent) said they were, “not interested at all,” while a 17 percent said they were, “not very interested.”

Harry can’t count on his countrymen to make up for the lack of US interest in him–in the UK, 67 percent of people polled expressed disinterest in his book.

Royal Family News – Harry’s Popularity Is Very Low

His father, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince William, are reported to be “nervous” about Harry’s next publicity move. When the news broke, a source close to the situation said the monarchy was “shaken up” by the announcement. The source told US Weekly that the men hadn’t. “received a copy yet and don’t know what to expect. It’s making them nervous.”

In contrast, Prince Harry is fully confident of himself, issuing this pompous statement: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.”

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.” So, the book will be a work of fiction then?
