Royal Family News – Queen Elizabeth Is A Grand Grandmother
The queen is five feet four and no doubt some of her grandkids tower above her. But her love for them is anything but little, and she has made it a point to spend vacations and holidays with her growing brood. What do her grandkids think of the grandma who is also the Queen of England?
In the ITV documentary Our Queen at Ninety, Princess Eugenie shared how her “Granny” can be her genuine self on her beloved Scottish estate, Balmoral. “It’s the most beautiful place on Earth,” she said E “I think Granny is the most happy there, I think she really, really loves the Highlands… Walks, picnics, dogs – a lot of dogs, there’s always dogs! – and people coming in and out all the time.”
In addition to spending the summer at Balmoral, the queen and her family typically gather at Sandringham for the Christmas holiday.
Royal Family News – The Cambridge Kids Love Gan Gan
Kate Middleton spilled the tea about what the queen is like as a grandmother. She said that her son George calls her Gan Gan and revealed that Her Majesty always leaves a little gift for her kids in their rooms when they visit her.
In the ITV documentary Kate Middleton also shared how thrilled the queen was when great granddaughter Princess Charlotte arrived and let viewers in on the fact that she once made a homemade treat especially for her husband’s grandma.
Elizabeth is Britain’s longest-ruling monarch, but it’s also clear that she relishes her role as a grandma.
Royal Family News – Prince Harry Had Nice Things To Say Once
In the documentary Prince Harry said, “I look at the Commonwealth and think, ‘Look how much it’s achieved’… She should be incredibly proud of what she’s led and what she’s achieved and what she’s created amongst a huge amount of people from different ethnic backgrounds, different skin colors, different experiences, different islands – whatever it be. Hats off to her, it’s incredible.”
And her grandson Prince William, said of his grandmother, “Growing up, having this figurehead, having this stability above me has been incredible. I have been able to explore, understand, slightly carve my own path. I greatly appreciate and value that protection.”

He added, “A lot of people get very excited and sort of nervous around her. And I’ve seen some very comical moments. I’ve seen people literally faint in front of her. It’s quite a startling moment as to what to do when you faint in front of the Queen! There’s a lot of trembling knees and people can’t talk sometimes. It’s quite difficult talking to people when they can’t talk. You don’t get very far; I don’t get past the ‘Hello’s.”
