Johnny Depp Slams Disney Movies

Johnny Depp has famously become deeply invested in his beloved character of Jack Sparrow.  And that investment results from Depp starring as Jack Sparrow in five movies for nearly 15 years.

But despite that history, Disney Movies allegedly removed the Pirates of the Caribbean actor from that role.  As a result, Johnny Depp recently hit out at Disney over his character.

Johnny Depp Reacts To Disney’s Rumored Jack Sparrow Decision

During a recent appearance at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain, Johnny Depp tackled Disney directly for its rumored decision, reported Matrix.

That alleged decision reportedly results from Depp’s very public legal battle with his former wife Amber Heard.  The actress publicized her “wife beater” allegations repeatedly, creating a challenge for Disney as to whether to continue Johnny Depp’s role as Jack Sparrow.

But Johnny took an unexpected tactic in challenging Disney in response.  “I suppose this is the positive side of having, in a strange way, given life to those characters like Captain Jack,” said Depp.

And the actor reflected on the path he traveled to create that role.  “Whatever character that I was lucky enough to locate and bring to life the beauty of Captain Jack Sparrow,” Johnny plans to continue.

And his fans may want to heed his promise on ways that Depp could maintain his role as Jack Sparrow.  “I’ll go to somebody’s house, man, I’ll perform at your kid’s birthday party at this point,” offered the actor.  And Depp appeared to address Disney directly.  “I don’t need a company to do that,” pointed out Johnny. “I can just do that myself and nobody can take that away.”

In addition, the actor reflected on “the greatest pleasure of Jack Sparrow. I can travel with Captain Jack in a box. Literally, Captain Jack in a box.”  And  he made a promise.

“And when the opportunity is right and I’m able to go and visit people and places where the smiles and the laughs and the things that are important, the most important things in the world are on the line,” summed up Johnny.

Johnny Depp Wants To Cancel ‘Cancel Culture’!

In recent years, the concept of “cancel culture” has impacted every aspect of the entertainment world.  And now Johnny Depp has decided to speak out on that phenomenon.

For Depp, the San Sebastian Film Festival provided an ideal opportunity to attack “cancel culture.”  In particular, the 58-year-old actor attacked the fallout from cancel culture.

“It can be seen as an event in history that lasted for however long it lasted, this cancel culture,” noted Johnny.  As a result of cancel culture, Depp feels that “this instant rush to judgment [is] based on what essentially amounts to polluted air.”

And the actor issued a warning to the entire entertainment industry.  “It’s so far out of hand now that I can promise you that no one is safe. Not one of you. No one out that door. No one is safe,” cautioned Johnny Depp.
