The Walking Dead Season 11: Is Michonne Returning?

The Walking Dead (TWD)  Season 11 approaches the mid-season finale, and fans still hope that Rick Grimes, (Andrew Lincoln) returns. Recall, he went off in the helicopter at the end of Season 9 of the AMC show. Then, Michonne, (Danai Gurira) disappeared from the show in Season 10. While TWD fans hope for a return of Rick, they also hope for more of Michonne. Some fans grew very excited as they think a promo for Episode 8 hints at a return. Plus, they hope for the sake of Rick’s daughter, Judith Grimes (Cailey Fleming) that she returns.

Is it too far-fetched to think that some fan-favorites might return? After all, why not? Maggie Greene, (Lauren Cohan) left Hilltop but returned to take up a major role in season 11. Fans don’t know if Maggie survives the season, and many speculated that she dies. Whether that comes from the Walkers or the Reapers, isn’t clear. In fact, it might even come at the hand of Negan, ( Jeffrey Dean Morgan). That came after Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) confessed the first eight episodes for the season focused on her story.

The Walking Dead Season 11 disappointed fans of Rick Grimes so far, as he never showed up yet. However, another character who returned is Leah. Recall, fans saw a lot about her in Season 10 bonus episodes. In fact, Daryl ran into her again with Dog when he ended up a prisoner of the Reapers. Together, they underwent a hair-raising baptism of fire. While they survived, it’s a sticky situation for both of them. Well, in the new teaser, many fans think they spotted Michonne who possibly arrived in the nick of time.

The teaser appeared on YouTube, and many fans believed that the final scene revealed Michonne. Unfortunately, fans can’t make out her features as she stands in silhouette. Around her, lie many dead Walkers. The figure has long hair and holds what looks like her katana. Ahead of that fans saw the kids, including Judith Grimes fighting off an invasion of Walkers. Intermixed with scenes of the Reapers, it all looks very dire. Then, right at the end…bang! A final dark figure appears.

Fans of The Walking Dead Season 11discussed Michonne in the comments. One of them wrote, “I swear I thought that was Michonne’s silhouette. Looks like a Katana in hand with walkers laying around.” Then another fan wrote, “Wow wow michonne is back?” More people thought it was possible and this comment also arrived: “Hold up hold up was that Michonne?”  Plus, another fan noted, “Yes, Michonne returns during the storm.”

Other TWD fans suggested that the showy figure is actually Rosita. One fan said that they saw the same scene in a trailer. They added, “there is the exact same scene but a few seconds later and you see it is Rosita that walks through the door.” Meanwhile, others conceded that it might even be Rosita with Michonne’s sword.
