Royal Family News: Meghan Markle May Never Return To The U.K.

British Royal family news reveals it’s been a week for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who recently toured NYC for three days. Their time in the city culminated with their stage presence at the Global Citizen Live event where they addressed the audience on vaccine access and distribution.

While some royal commentators are predicting that the couple will be making a Christmas trip with their entire family to England, others are saying that Meghan Markle would rather stay away from the island nation as it’s clear that she is very much not welcome over there.

In a recent chat with US Weekly, Robert Jobson opined that the Duchess would probably not be making a trip back to the UK anytime soon, at least not “until the dust finally settles.”

“I’m not sure Meghan will ever come to Britain again. She’s not popular [right] now,” said Jobson, who is the author of “Philip’s Century: The Extraordinary Life of the Duke of Edinburgh”.

“We have to wait and see.… Harry, I’m sure he thinks he’ll be there for the [Platinum Jubilee],” the biographer continued. “But you’ve got to remember that within months, he’s going to have a book coming out.… It’s gonna be quite awkward.”

The Queen’s platinum anniversary is being hailed as a historic once-in-a-generation affair. It would mark the Queen’s milestone 70th year on the throne. Queen Elizabeth the II is the only sovereign in British history to spend 70 years on the throne.

To celebrate her seven decades of service, the British government is promising to put on a show that will be massive. A hundred different things will be put together to celebrate the four-day holiday, including hundreds of musicians who are set to perform at the event. The night parties will feature an A-list guest list and the day event will include thousands of people from all over the world.

The Event Will Also Be Celebrated In Commonwealth Countries.

The Queen has reportedly sent out invitations to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, though it is doubtful whether they would appear in the balcony with her during Trooping the Color.

A source was quoted by the Mail on Sunday, saying: “The balcony moment will be decided much nearer the time but there’s a limit to how many family members should be on it, and I would have thought that working Royals who contribute to the family would be higher on the list than the Sussexes.”
