Rami Malek Shares Conversation That Caught Kate Middleton Off Guard

The Royal news and updates tease that Rami Malek shared a prior conversation with the Royals that seems to have caught Kate Middleton “off guard.” The encounter happened in February 2019, Rami said during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

Malek dropped by the Jimmy Kimmel Live show on Tuesday, October 5. The actor shared the time he spent with Prince William and Kate Middleton recently when he attended the highly awaited James Bond film’s London premiere, which took place at Royal Albert Hall on September 28.

Malek Shares Past Encounter With The Royals

The 40-year-old No Time to Die star shared that it was indeed a special event because of the royals’ presence.

“A film like Bond deserves something like that. The last time I was there at Royal Albert Hall, it was the BAFTAs, so I had some familiarity with Princess Kate and Prince Will,” he said.

The actor then shared a previous encounter with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last February 2019. During the event, Malek received the Best Actor award for his role as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. His impeccable performance in the same movie also earned him an Oscar award.

Kate Middleton’s Reaction To Malek’s Question

He shared that he shared a brief conversation with the Royals back then. He added that Kate seemed to have been taken aback when he asked her a question. Malek said that it may have been quite exhausting for Kate given that they just welcomed their third child, Prince Louis, who is now three years old.

The duchess wasn’t prepared for this type of conversation. Plus the fact that they always had to be careful of their responses. When Kate asked how Malek was doing, he threw the question back at Kate. The actor said that Kate had that look, which meant, “Yes, it’s a lot, having a kid.”

Malek also shared that he even offered to watch over their kids in case they want to go on a night out. It seemed as though Kate was caught off guard once again. She asked what Malek meant and he answered that he can babysit, while they have a good time.”

It was a nice experience for Malek. So when he, Prince William, and Kate Middleton saw each other, it was “like meeting old friends,” for the actor. Malek plays a villain in the movie, No Time to Die, which is scheduled to hit the theaters on Friday, October 8.
