DOOL spoilers reveal that EJ found out about Sami and Lucas Horton’s (Bryan Dattilo) affair. The DiMera Enterprises co-CEO was furious and kicked Sami to the curb. Over the years, “Ejami” has separated many times but always ended up back together. So, when Sami threatened to get permission from Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) to stay in the mansion, EJ assumed she would be back. In fact, he was counting on it.

When Sami never returned, it didn’t occur to EJ that she was kidnapped. In his mind, Sami broke her promise to never leave him and now he’s trying to cover up his broken heart.

EJ has always been a force to be reckoned with but one thing he doesn’t handle well is heartbreak. EJ is trying to cover up his pain and hopes that Sami will come back to him. That is part of the reason why he asked Nicole out on a date. EJ figures that Sami is keeping tabs on him and will soon learn about him moving on with Nicole.

However, there is another reason why EJ is trying to rekindle his romance with Nicole.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Feuerriegel spoke to Soap Opera Digest about EJ and Nicole’s romance. The actor was asked if EJ is really interested in rekindling a relationship with Nicole. Feuerriegel explained that right now, EJ is hurt and vulnerable.

The actor teased that fans will see a more human side to EJ. It seems that the villain is desperately looking for a way to get over Sami, just as Nicole is trying to forget about Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).

“He is hurting, he is vulnerable, and looking for affection or attention or love is something that we as humans do when we’re hurting and vulnerable, so I think there’s a big element of that here.”

DOOL Spoilers – Replacement Impossible

It is teased that Nicole and Rafe will eventually end up together. While Sami is gone, EJ will try to find ways to get over his heartbreak. For now, he is looking to someone familiar, who just happens to be Nicole. The only reason she is agreeing to date EJ is due to her own determination to get over someone.

Even though EJ claims that he’s looking to Nicole to help him forget Sami, what is the truth? It seems that EJ can’t just get over Sami that quickly or easily. Despite Sami’s betrayal and lies, EJ wants his wife back. Perhaps he’s looking for someone to be a replacement for his wife. The only problem with that is there is nobody quite like Sami Brady DiMera!
