Morton accused the Markle’s of, “jumping ship.” And in so doing did Prince William and Prince Charles a favor, since they want a slimmer institution. Would they have cut Harry loose if he hadn’t bailed?

Prince Charles has spoken out many times about wanting to decrease the royal family to a just a few select individuals. In light of this goal Morton thinks it is ironic that the Markle’s left of their own accord.

Because if they had not, “the pair would have been ‘asked to walk the gangplank’ if they hadn’t already made the choice to leave themselves.”

He noted that if Harry and Meghan had remained, they would play minor roles due to the Cambridge’s children (Louis, and Charlotte, and George) being in front of the secession wise. In other words the Sussexes would be falling down the ladder ever more.
