Meghan Markle Created “Drama” With Princess Eugenie

The Royals spoilers and updates tease that Meghan Markle has sparked some drama with the Royal family after mentioning her cousin-in-law, Princess Eugenie during her interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

British royal commentator Neil Sean talked about Meghan’s interview on YouTube. He said the former actress and now Duchess of Sussex “inadvertently created even more drama for the British royal family” by name-dropping Eugenie.

Meghan Name Drops Princess Eugenie

During her interview, Meghan shared some stories about her life before meeting Prince Harry and joining the royal family. The actress talked about her childhood, her acting career, and the early days of her relationship with Prince Harry.

She shared a story about their first Halloween together. Meghan said that in 2016, she snuck out in Halloween costumes along with Prince Harry, Princess Eugenie, and her now-husband Jack Brooksbank. They had a fun evening together in the town before the world knew that they were a couple.

“It was a post-apocalypse theme, so we had all this very bizarre costuming on, and we were able to just have one fun final night out,” she recalled.

This wasn’t the first time Meghan name-dropped Eugenie. During her interview with Oprah Winfrey, she shared that she already knew Eugenie before she met Prince Harry.

Royal Experts Take On Meghan’s Name Dropping Incident

As per Sean, Meghan decided to share that she has been friends with Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack for a long time. However, her name dropping triggered warning bells for the Royal family’s senior members.

He continued to explain that all of the senior members of the Royal family are nervous about getting linked to Meghan and Harry since they want to monetize everything, make surprising statements, and talk about how bad the royal family is.

He brought up the time when Meghan and Harry had their interview with Oprah Winfrey in early 2021. The couple spilled a lot of things about the royal family. He then said that people are worried about what new conversations might come up after her recent interview.

“As we know, it may not even be Harry and Meghan, but the people around them need those scraps to make sure they retain some level of interest thanks to their connection with the British monarchy,” Sean said.
