Are Princess Charlene’s Woes From The Grimaldi Curse?

Do you believe in royal curses? Whether you believe there is a Grimaldi curse, or not, there has certainly been a lot of drama surrounding the marriage of Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco. Sounds the drama started way before 2021.

One publication concluded that money does not buy happiness, as per the “public unraveling” of Charlene.

Princess Charlene Struggled As Royal

The story of Princess Charlene and her grounding in South Africa due to an ears/nose/throat infection so bad that she could not return to Monaco for over six months has been a story that doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon.

After many surgeries, she finally returned home on November 8. She was significantly thinner. That is because she was unable to eat solid foods during her illness. Her situation was so severe, she, along with Prince Albert, and her brothers determined that she needed to go into rehab. But is this all a new problem for the Princess? Turns out, there have been issues for quite some time.

Recently, The Daily Beast took a closer look at the former Olympic swimmer. They quickly uncovered a number of instances where Princess Charlene was openly tearful and very unhappy. For example, she openly cried in front of guests. The source revealed, “Albert didn’t acknowledge his wife was crying at all.” They wondered why Her Serene Highness Charlene did not just leave and assumed that she wanted everyone to see her unhappiness.

The Cursed Grimaldis

Are they Monaco Royals cursed? Some would say this. There is an old tale that a witch cursed the family. Even if you do not believe in curses, it seems that happiness eludes the Monegasque Royals.

Princess Grace, the former American actress, died in a tragic car crash in the 1980s. Princess Stephanie, who once dated Rob Lowe, has been married and divorced twice. Both marriages lasted less than a year.

Then there is Princess Caroline. After her first divorce, her second husband died tragically in a speed boat accident.

Now, Princess Charlene is in an undisclosed rehab facility dealing with physical and mental issues surrounding her recent illness. Albert says she “needs a rest.” She likely did that very thing in South Africa as well.

However, Prince Albert insists that this is not due to marital issues. However, The Daily Beast did reveal that prior to their $70 million wedding, she did try to escape on numerous occasions.

Charlene Does Not Get Support From Albert’s Family

The publication also alludes that Princess Charlene is also suffering some discrimination from Albert’s sisters, Caroline and Stephanie. Charlene grew up in a normal family. Her mother was a swimming teacher, while her father was a sales manager. In most family settings, this would be considered adequate.

But this is the Monegasque elite. They are not terribly impressed.

Her situation now seems more similar to that of what Meghan Markel has gone through as a royal. It is not hard for royal watchers to believe that Charlene has had a lot of difficulties fitting in.

But will she now move on? That is the question everyone is now asking.
