When Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) was confirmed to be returning for a stint in the CBS soap, fans were excited. However, that excitement would turn into shock and disappointment. The whole purpose of Stitch’s return was to kidnap Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and hold her hostage for months. At the time, Mariah was a surrogate for Chance and Abby. After Mariah was rescued, Stitch simply vanished.

Not only did Victoria basically give up her kids to shack up with the “Locke-ness Monster,” the villain has suddenly turned into a charming gentleman. Diagnosed with cancer and having Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) approval, there is probably a lot more to this story that hasn’t aired yet. In any case, everything about Ashland has been pretty surprising and we’re still waiting for the whole truth to come out.

Plus, it’s suspicious that he gave up Harrison so easily despite raising him since he was born. Ashland has yet to visit Harrison, but was able to travel to Peru for treatments and Italy for his wedding. Ashland also seems to have the energy to give Victoria passion while battling Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones). Yet he rarely mentions Harrison, which is shocking, yet sad.
