British royal family news divulges that Prince Andrew’s legal defense team wants the civil case being brought against him by Virginia Roberts Giuffre thrown out. She alleges that she was trafficked to Andrew on three occasions as a minor but Andrew’s lawyers are now arguing that the case, “is compromised because she was 17 and over the age of consent in New York when the alleged sexual activity took place.” The judge has reportedly agreed to delay judgement until January 14.

Judge Lewis Kaplan has been asked to dismiss Giuffre’s complaint, calling the legislation under which she is suing him–New York’s Child Victims Act—flawed. They argue that the Act classifies individuals under the age of 18 as minors, while the age of consent in New York is 17, according to The Times of London reports. Giuffre claims that she was 17-years old when she was forced to have sex with Andrew three separate times at three different locations around the world in 2001.
Royal Family News – The Prince Is Facing A Scandal
Andrew the Duke of York has steadfastly alleged that he never met Giuffre. But a salacious picture of them has been published which shows him with his arm around Giuffre’s bare waist. Ghislaine Maxwell is also in the photograph and it was reportedly snapped at her London residence by Jeffrey Epstein, the dead convicted pedophile. Maxwell has been labeled his “pimp” and is currently on trial for similar crimes. Andrew’s friends have told the media at various times over the years that the photo is a Photoshopped fake.
Andrew’s defense team claims that the Child Victims Act is, “not a reasonable mechanism to address the injustice of child sexual abuse in New York,” because it classifies under-18s as minors, “even though the age of consent in New York is 17,” according to The Daily Beast.

Prince Andrew’s Lawyers Want The Suit Against Him Dismissed
Andrew’s legal team is headed by Andrew Brettler, and his filing includes the following: “Here, the only witnesses to the purported implied threats under which Giuffre allegedly engaged in unconsented sex acts with Prince Andrew are Epstein (deceased), Maxwell (incarcerated), Prince Andrew (the accused), and Giuffre herself.”
Andrew’s lawyers previously asked for him to be shielded from legal action after Giuffre accepted a financial award under the terms of a settlement made with Epstein in 2009.
