When you have two characters in mega-popular pairings and decide to blow those two pairings up (quite literally, in one case), you’re a soap willing to take a chance and that’s exactly what GH did in 2020 when an explosion at The Floating Rib resulted in Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) falling into a coma she has yet to come out of, leaving Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) all alone.

Believing she had lost Danny in that same explosion, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) began re-evaluating her life and her choice and decided to put her children before Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) love life and broke things off with him. It was a new time for both Dante and Sam but we didn’t see a match coming when both characters ended up alone at the end of last year.

Yes, Sam gave birth to Dante’s father’s stillborn child many years ago. Yes, they share a sister in Kristina Corinthos Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) and a brother in Leo Jerome. But, they have mad chemistry to spare, so we need to look past all those sibling relationships.

Sam and Dante are good for one another after they both had a rough few years and nothing between them seemed forced as GH took its time.
