After Prince Andrew’s Hollywood lawyer Andrew Brettler appeared in court on behalf of the Prince for the sexual assault lawsuit, it’s been revealed that a few of his family members could appear in court alongside him if the judge decides not to dismiss the case.
In a bid to provide evidence for his Pizza Express alibi, the Prince may be required to call in his two daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and his American in-law Meghan Markle.
Royal Expert Claims Prince Andrew Will Drag In His Family To Corroborate “Pizza Express” Alibi
The Duke of York is currently facing a sexual assault lawsuit filed in NYC. The accuser Ms. Giuffre alleged that the Prince had sex with her on three different occasions when she was just 17 years old. The now 38-year-old recalled a “sweaty” night with the Duke at a nightclub. She explained that it was the first time she met the Prince and that he ended up assaulting her.
Andrew, who denies all charges and insists he can’t recall meeting Virginia Giuffre, claimed to be at Pizza Express the night he allegedly harassed the now mom of three. However, his legal team has admitted that he can’t provide a witness to back his claim.
On the other hand, royal expert Angela Levin believes that Princess Beatrice could be called in to give evidence.
Ms Levin told talkRADIO: “If the case goes ahead, one, it’s not going to be heard until the autumn and secondly, it will involve Beatrice being brought to court and all sorts of other family members.
“He said he was having a pizza and couldn’t have gone with Virginia to a nightclub, and you have to prove this and then have to get his own family there to support him.
“I think for a senior royal to rely on a technical couple of words in a court case looks absolutely appalling.”
She also shared that she finds it very unlikely that the judge would be willing to dismiss the case.
Ms Levin said: “It looks very doubtful, and if you think this civil case could be closed at any time, it’s easy for [lawyers] to say, ‘Ok, let’s work together between two lawyers and get rid of it’ “.
Ms. Giuffre’s Lawyer Calls Meghan Markle “Somebody We Can Count on to Tell the Truth”
Meghan Markle and the York sisters have been close friends since the beginning of the former’s relationship with Harry, with Ms. Markle recently recalling a “fun” night out with Princess Eugenie.
According to David Boies, the lawyer representing Virginia Giuffre, the Duchess of Sussex could be called in to provide evidence as someone who was once close to the Duke.
Mr. Boies listed three reasons which makes Meghan an eligible witness: “One; she is in the U.S. so we have jurisdiction over her.”

He added: “Two; she is somebody who obviously, at least for a period of time, was a close associate of Prince Andrew and hence is in a position to perhaps have seen what he did, and perhaps if not to have seen what he did to have heard people talk about it.
“Because of her past association with him, she may very well have important knowledge, and will certainly have some knowledge.
“Three; she is somebody who we can count on to tell the truth. She checks all three boxes.”
Boies also cautioned that it shouldn’t be considered as fact that Meghan will be appearing in court to speak against Andrew, adding that she is just “one of the people we are considering”.
