Y&R spoilers reveal that Burgi officially announced his exit from the CBS soap. The actor didn’t give any hints on what Ashland’s exit story could be. However, he did previously tease that viewers will see another side to Ashland, which is described as being “savage.” That came around the same time that co-executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the 2022 preview.

Despite Victoria being happily married, her bliss will be short-lived. Ashland is hiding another secret from Victoria and he should have told her before they tied the knot. This secret could be a game-changer for Victoria. Griffith told the magazine that Victoria will have to decide if this is something she can live with or not. So, it sounds as if this secret could be too much for Victoria.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that when Ashland first appeared in the CBS soap, the character was dubbed the “Locke-ness Monster.” Fans have seen very little of the monstrous side of Ashland, though. So, that seems to suggest it will come out soon. Burgi told Soaps.com that everyone has two sides to them, including Ashland. For the media mogul, though, his other side is “savage.”

“Like all of us, he has a gentle, loving side. And like all of us, he has a savage side.”

So, what could be the dealbreaker for Victoria? After all, she has accepted everything else about him, including his other secrets. So, what divides “Ashtoria” must be pretty bad. Ashland has already begun questioning Victoria’s motivations regarding Billy.

Ashland mentioned that it seemed Victoria was still protecting Billy. Even though it wasn’t said, Ashland might wonder if Victoria secretly still loves her ex-husband. This could have Ashland do what he’s done with others in relationships and business… eliminate the competition. Could Ashland order a hit on Billy only to have Victoria find out? That would certainly be the final straw for her and would explain Ashland’s exit.
