Coronation Street spoilers have documented that the Pakistani street food restaurant Speed Daal will hit another low as Yasmeen Metcalfe axes her grandchildren who’ve been keeping the restaurant alive.

Yasmeen (Shelley King) still can’t recover from her bombshell discovery that her grandkids Zeedan (Qasim Akhtar) and Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) have made a dirty business behind her back and have used Hashim’s laundered money to redecorate the restaurant after its arson incident, where both cooperated with.

With no plans to tell their grandmother, Zeedan hid the dirty money at Yasmeen’s attic, but he was busted by Yasmeen when he bought an industrial dishwasher from Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazlegrove) dodgy friend.

They doubled the weight of their sin when Yasmeen knew about their plans to pin Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) for the fire, which almost took away his life. This heavy news led Yasmeen to axe them not only from their jobs but also to cut ties with them as a family, with Yasmeen throwing out their things at the window and changing her locks at the house.

In upcoming scenes, Yasmeen is more likely to get rid of any memories about Speed Daal’s recent incident that she allegedly donates the £30,000 laundered money to Joseph Brown’s (William Flanagan) appeal after the schoolboy ran away from his family.

When Alya gets word about her kind gesture later in the week, she tells Yasmeen she’s proud of her, but her grandmother is keen to burn bridges, leaving her disheartened. Will Alya push through? How will she win back Yasmeen’s heart?

But behind Yasmeen’s drastic action is Speed Daal suffering, which will be aired on January 19’s episode. After axing her grandchildren, Yasmeen has transferred all of Alya’s shifts to agency staff but this results in Stu having to receive all the pressure at work when the agency staff Yasmeen hired didn’t show up.

When Zeedan learns the situation, he heads off to help Stu, and although the latter is grateful, this infuriates his grandmother and makes it clear she’s not moved by his actions, instead she emphasizes he is jobless from that day forward.

But Yasmeen might regret her choices later as Zeedan is welcomed with her rival, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), and offers him a job at the Bistro. Will Zeedan take the offer?
