GH spoilers reveal that the truth about Sonny and Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) romance came out at the worst time. Sonny should have told Carly immediately upon returning to Nixon Falls. Carly wouldn’t like it but probably wouldn’t have been angry at Sonny. After all, she views Nina as a predator taking advantage of a married man with amnesia. Plus, Sonny couldn’t remember who he was and had no idea Carly even existed.

Instead, the truth came out during Nina’s preliminary hearing. Carly has asked that Sonny just give her some space and time. She needs to process everything, but Sonny isn’t giving her that.

GH Spoilers: Nina Reeves’ Epiphany

As fans saw, Sonny went off his medication. This only made him even less aware and respectful of Carly’s needs for space. As Sonny spiraled into a major manic episode, Nina became terrified. Nina had no clue how to handle Sonny in that state and realized Carly really is the woman for him.

However, Carly didn’t want to hear a single word from Nina. It’s not that Carly doesn’t want her husband back. Carly is aware she is the right woman for Sonny. It’s that she needs time to herself to process and learn how to move past the betrayal.

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Sonny did make an appointment to see his psychiatrist. So, he is on the way back to mental stability. In the meantime, Sonny still wants to make things right with Carly. Sonny plans on making a huge romantic gesture just in time for Valentine’s Day. Sonny feels that this will prove to Carly that he loves her and is committed to their marriage.

General Hospital Spoilers: Ned Quartermaine’s Prediction

It is teased that some people are supportive of Sonny’s idea. However, one person predicts that this will be a disaster. That person is Ned Quartermaine, who just went through his own separation. Like Sonny, Ned tried multiple times to prove his love to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero). Finally, it was something so simple that stopped pushing Olivia away and proved his love to her… being there for Olivia’s son, Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda).

Ned learned some valuable lessons with that experience. Ned is sympathetic to Sonny’s quest. However, he also realizes that the more Sonny pushes, the further he will push Carly away. All Sonny needs to do is step back and give Carly what she asked for… space and time. Could Sonny’s big romantic plan backfire despite his good intentions?
