1000-Lb. Sisters – Amy Gets a sign, ‘We Needed To Move’
According to In Touch, Amy recently purchased a home in Morganfield, 21 miles away from her previous home. They paid $37,000 for the single-story 1,584-square-foot property which went on the market in July 2021.
“We were driving around one day, and we saw the sign and we’re like, ‘There’s our sign, we need to move,” Amy told In Touch about how they arrived at the decision, saying that Gage was sleeping in the kitchen, and she wanted him to have his own room.
But the 34-year-old 1000-Lb. Sisters star didn’t bring her sister Tammy, 35, with her. She did, however, tell her about the development on the show, “I just made an offer on a house, and they accepted it,” she said.
When Amy broke the news, Tammy seemed to be somewhat supportive telling her sister to “go for it.” When Amy asked if she would be alright on her own Tammy responded apprehensively, saying, “We’ll find out.”

There is a reasonably sized backyard with a tree in which Amy’s son Gage will be able to play safely. The house they lived in previously was a duplex where Amy still lived close to her older sister for when she was needed.
Amy is clearly afraid for her sister, who is currently still in rehab. Fans know that Tammy has been holding her sister back with her refusal to do what she needs to do to lose weight and become independent and they are supportive of her decision to move on.
