Coronation Street spoilers and updates tease that Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) and Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) may finally tie the knot. Wedding bells may be on the horizon for the pair after they manage to overcome Imran’s cheating last year.

Fans may recall that Imran told Toyah about where he was on the night of Kelly Neelan’s (Millie Gibson) trial verdict. He admitted that he spent the night with another woman. He said it was a stranger but was actually Abi Webster (Sally Carman).

The couple struggled to overcome Imran’s cheating incident but they eventually managed to get through it. Their relationship is now more stable and the pair have decided to foster Elsie.

Toyah and Imran Receive Surprise

Spoilers hint that Toyah and Imran will receive a call at their flat. Lou, A social worker will suggest that they formally adopt Elsie given that they had a successful fostering stint.

Toyah turns to Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) and reveals that they’re considering adopting Elise. However, she’s having second thoughts because she doesn’t feel like their relationship is solid enough to take on this huge commitment especially after Imran’s cheating incident.

Of course, this conversation will make Abi uncomfortable because of the fact that it was her who Imran cheated with. Later on, Toyah tells Imran that she’s willing to adopt Elsie as long as they get married. Will Imran agree? Will he admit that he cheated with Abi?

Corrie Boss Opens Up About Toyah and Imran’s Storyline

Corrie boss, Iain MacLeod teased that there’s more to come from Toyah and Imran’s storyline this year. He hinted that the plot will test Toyah’s forgiveness.

MacLeod added that Imran will be forced to reevaluate himself and ask if he’s really a decent guy, which he believes to be.

“He’s forced to go to the dark side, you might say,” MacLeod teased

“The story coming up has got massive secrets in the middle of it all, which is some of the best stuff that we do,” he added.

“I think the way the ticking time bomb goes off in this story, which won’t be for many months into the new year, is entirely surprising,” he continued.

Fans will just have to wait and see what happens next. Will Toyah be able to forgive Imran when she finds out that he cheated with Abi? How will she react when she learns that she’s been confiding in someone who slept with Imran?
